i'm Michael Lazuardy.
I live in Bogor, Indonesia.
I've loved making things for as long as I can remember, and wrote my first app during first semester of bachelor study, 2 months after my mom bought me a laptop for my college.
The first time I fell in love with learning programming languages, especially web programming, was when I finished a course on creating websites. Coincidentally, I also joined a technology-related student organization on campus.
After that, I became interested in creating a website for the organization I joined. However, because I was still new to programming languages (at the time, I only knew HTML and CSS), I asked a fellow student to help me create the database. He was someone who had experience in creating websites. However, my friend asked for money to work on the database, and eventually stopped helping me. Although I had told him that I would raise funds from my senior members in the organization and give it to him when the project was completed, he insisted on getting paid upfront. So, I decided to spend my college holiday working on the website by myself.
I spent my days and nights studying for 2-3 months, and I successfully created my first website. I also raised funds and earned money, and used it to rent a server for the website for a year.
After a year had passed, I became quite proficient in creating applications and always tried to keep up with the times. React JS was a popular library at the time, and I became known as a programmer who was quite skilled among my fellow students. The friend who I had asked for help to create my first website now came to me for help in learning React JS. And as you might have guessed, my answer to him was, "I'll need payment upfront" XD
